The construction of WBT’s shaped tray provides a 400% increase in surface support area for your cabling. This greatly eliminates the stress and pressure points placed on the cables installed at the bottom of the tray. Utilizing WBT’s shaped wire trays, strain placed on the cabling media is reduced up to 65 percent*.

Even moderately sized trays can hold in excess of 1500 individual cables. The cables installed at the bottom of the tray support the weight of several hundred sitting on top. The conductors are subjected to tremendous load and pressure points every 4 inches on the apex of a round wire, as outlined below. WBT’s shaped wire offers a flat plane to support the cabling media, which greatly reduces any pressure or strain on the conductors.

The shaped wire even adds additional strength to the tray sections, increasing loading capabilities by 15 to 20%.
